Hunter Douglas Powerview Roller Shades

Located in a scenic country setting in the outskirts of St Catharines, this modern build was prewired for motorized window treatments.  The client received a quote for a Lutron System and reached out to us for a quote for Somfy or Hunter Douglas Powerview low voltage motorized shades.  After comparing the technical specs and available fabrics and prices, the client chose Hunter Douglas Designer Screen Shades powered by 18vdc low voltage motors.

The client was initially confused with the price differential between Lutron and Hunter Douglas.  The cost for Hunter Douglas was $28,000 complete (including installation, programming & HST) while the identical Lutron system was $47,000.  There was no discernible difference in the quality, the quietness of the motors, the ease at which the Hunter Douglas PowerView was integrated into the home automation system etc.

Overall a happy client who enjoyed a $19,000 saving on his window treatments.
