1985 – The year we started

That’s four recessions, three children and thousands and thousands of customers.  And throughout these years we’ve kept the same phone number, though we have moved the showroom twice to increasingly larger premises as time went by. And we won’t even talk about all the vehicles we’ve replaced having driven a million+ kms with our shop at home services.

Our goal has always been simple.  Provide great service and be helpful whenever possible.

You’ve heard people say it, “follow your passion” and for many that’s been elusive and most haven’t found it.  I count myself lucky.  I can tell you that life is so much more enjoyable when you’re basically being paid for your hobby, you surround yourself with like-minded people and you get to stay immersed in your passion every day.

One of those things that keeps me and my staff constantly engaged has been the changes in our industry.  New products, motorization & home automation, fabulous new fabrics, operating systems, drapery track systems and on and on.  We never know what’s around the corner in the world of window treatments.  But when it arrives I’m certain we will be one of the first to analyze it and possibly embrasse it if we feel the function, look asn value is there for our clients.

Interior Design & Decor

In suburbs where homes may appear to be row upon row of similar structures, we know that within each home lives a family that are proud of their home, proud of their community.  When they close their front door they want to live in a space that is uniquely theirs.  The smells wafting from the kitchen are unique to their culture, their favorite meals.  Their furnishings are a reflection as well of their culture, their family makeup, their personal taste in fabrics and colours.

As designers it’s our job to get to know each client.  Understand their tastes, the stage in which their lives are in:  just starting out, young children, older teenagers, kids left the coup and finally downsizing into a comfortable space.  At whatever stage in life you and your family are in, when you walk in your front door – you should feel at home.  When you have friends, neighbors and family visiting they should think ‘This home LOOKS like you’ with bits and pieces of who you are reflected in all parts of your home.

That’s what we try to achieve.

Not to look like a visitor in your own home, but to look like an extension of you.
